It's a Good Time to Know P'unk Ave

P'unk Ave

We’ve always said that P’unk Avenue is human. It grows, changes and evolves, just like we do.

As you may have read in a recent letter from our founder, Geoff DiMasi, P’unk’s undergoing some exciting changes. Our sister company, Apostrophe Technologies, has officially spun out into its own company, and we’ve got new leadership, new goals and a new approach to doing the same great work as ever. Here are a few of the most important things on our minds right now.

We’re empowering our leadership.

Our new Managing Director, Anthony Robinson, comes to us with an eye for improved processes, efficiencies, and new business. Kristen Angelucci, our new Director of Brand and Community, brings her passion for storytelling and working harmoniously for better results. Matt Goold, a partner, continues and expands his role as Design Director with his usual gusto for beauty, teamwork and big-picture thinking. Austin Starin also continues his role as Engineering Director, ensuring that we meet our high standards while remaining a creative and enthused team. We’re thrilled to have P’unk’s founders and partners, Geoff DiMasi and Alex Gilbert, as well as P’unk veteran and partner Tom Boutell, on our board, ready to offer advice, hard-earned wisdom, and a list of the best cannoli in South Philly.

We’re catching up with friends new and old.

New faces in our offices won’t mean that we’re losing our history; so many of our clients and partners have been with us for a long time, and we’re excited to reconnect and introduce fresh leadership. We’re also making time for coffees, lunches and walks around the park with new friends and potential partners. We’re proud to work in a place that people find exciting, and our doors are wide open to our city, community and clients.

We’re hiring! And hiring. And hiring.

As Apostrophe Technologies sets out on their own adventure, P’unk Ave has desks to fill and new ways to approach our team structure. We’ve brought on additional producers, developers, and designers. Right now we’re hiring for developers, as well as a Content Strategist and a UX role, if you know anyone. We’ve got plans to continue expanding our team to better serve new and existing clients, so if you’ve ever dreamed of being a P’unk, get your resume ready!

We’re making P’unk a better place to work - for everyone.

As Geoff noted in his letter, we’ve come a long way since P’unk was founded by white men, but we’ve got a long way left to go. We’re thinking about diversity more intentionally, supporting our team more thoroughly and generally continuing on the not-totally-quixotic quest to make P’unk the kind of place where people are excited to go to work day after day, year after year, not because they have to, but because they want to.

We’re holding ourselves to an (even) higher standard.

P’unk has always prized creativity and quality. As we add more structure and process, we’re seeing improvements across the board— deeper dives into understanding your organization’s unique pulse, to more robust explorations of your visual identity, to more beautiful and efficient code and better-directed support tickets —our growing team supports these efforts; we’re still rising.

We’re looking to the future.

We’re growing our team, our business and our relationships with an eye to improving year after year while remaining sustainable. Our leadership is committed to P’unk’s team, clients, and mission - we’re here for the long haul.

These changes can’t happen without you, our partners, supporters and friends. We’d love to hear from you. What are your expectations for this bold iteration of P’unk? What questions do you have for us? How soon can you stop in and try our personalized coffee blend from Herman’s? Drop us a line (hello@punkave.com) and let us know what’s on your P’unk Ave bucket list. We’re going somewhere special, and we’re taking you with us.
