P'unk Ave Lunch Chronicles vol. 4 & 5

Dana Vachon

I'm a little behind on our lunch adventures. Let me bring you up to speed.

Two weeks ago, we were all so exhausted from a crazy week that we just decided to order some pizzas. We ordered from Slice around the corner, and got some non traditionals pies. We chose the Truffle Pizza (olive oil, mushrooms, artichoke and truffle oil), the Italiana (gorgonzola, proscuitto and arugula), a Vegan Margherita pie and a small plain pie just in case anyone was still hungry.

Last week was back to normal cooking. Rick tossed out the idea of having a brunch instead of lunch. I made french toast with challah (banana french toast on multigrain for the vegans in our crew), John made some expert scrambled eggs and Wes cooked up homefries with peppers and onions. You think three chefs in the kitchen would get crowded, but we managed just fine. The main course was supplemented by french pressed coffee, orange juice, blackberries, bananas, grapes, and orange slices.

Having the routine of eating together every week is turning into an awesome tradition.
